Well, it sounds nice, but as always, it comes down to what a “creative solution” means.
A gimmick for the elections, as always. Dumb of Sikorski to discredit Poland on the world stage
it’s tough to pick a side here. Germany absolutely fucked over Poland, and the resulting effective Russian occupation resulting from that set Poland back significantly Vs other European countries. on the other hand it’s Russia’s fault the reparations weren’t paid in the first place, and also Russia was a nazi ally and invaded Poland with the Nazis, so maybe it’s Russia that should pay those reparations? Russia obviously can’t pay because it’s still the same backwards shit hole that invaded Poland, and obviously won’t pay because it’s still the same backwards shit hole that invaded Poland. it _feels_ like Germany owes something, but maybe it’s not everything. I don’t really know. it’s such a messy situation, and the only clear point is that Poland holds no responsibility for how it happened but does hold all the consequences for it happening.
edit: just to clarify, I do think _something_ should happen, not that Germany should be totally off the hook. it’s just unclear what that something is to me. but I don’t know very much about the history of these reparations outside of very generally what happened tbh
