0% chance that clause gets activated unless they buy Soule for 80m
Imagine going from being coached by Nathan Jones to Max Allegri in the space of a year
3m loan fee seems steep. Obviously 40m buyout is very steep.
Southampton fans seem pretty mixed on this guy. Consensus is he’s got a high ceiling but is streaky and at times goes missing. Many feel he doesn’t fit into their current possession style system. Apparently he can press well and is very direct.
We’ll see. Apparently Giuntoli and maybe Max rate him. Otherwise why spend 3m? I do think this is the kind of player that will do better in Serie A compared to a very physical and not overly tactical Championship.
Worst case scenario it’s the competition Miretti needs to step into some better, more consistent form.
This is such a bad move… we are one of the biggest clubs in the world loaning players from England second division. For a dude who’s only going to take minutes away from the younger players. I don’t get it
Just read Giuntoli wanted to buy him when he was at Napoli but was priced out by Southampton. Premiership prices are crazy high, on the bright side he has played several positions.
Trust in our new sporting director. I doubt he impresses enough to get bought for 40m though lol.
