1. The court recognized *Russia’s failure to investigate financing and support for militants in Eastern Ukraine since 2014, yet declined to award compensation as requested by Ukraine.* Additionally, Russia breached specific articles of the UN Convention on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.

   Moreover, the court found that *Russia did not lift the ban on the Crimean Tatar Mejlis,* as mandated by the 2019 decision, and *violated obligations regarding non-discrimination of the Ukrainian minority in education.* The majority of Ukraine’s accusations were deemed unsubstantiated by the court, with judges interpreting the *Convention to consider terrorism financing as money transfers, excluding the transfer of military equipment and weapons from this definition.*

   *Ukraine accuses Russia of:*
   ▪️providing arms and assistance to illegal armed formations,
   ▪️downing the MH17 flight of Malaysia Airlines,
   ▪️shelling residential areas in Mariupol and Kramatorsk, ▪️destroying a civilian bus near Volnovakha,
   ▪️causing an explosion during a peaceful gathering in Kharkiv,
   ▪️discriminating against the Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar communities,
   ▪️banning the activities of the Mejlis,
   ▪️waves of disappearances, murders, arbitrary searches, detentions
   ▪️restrictions on teaching in Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar languages.

7. The United Nations being incompetent and useless as usual

8. Worked with someone who used to work in the UN, their main grievance was that people were lazy, complacent and had the attitude of “I just work here”.

9. Interpreting the legal framework for logical sense rather than what is actually written is an exercise for someone else. They were probably limited by the specific wording. The finger then should not be pointed at the court, but at the treaty that formed it.

   Better laws lead to better justice.
