  1. **From The Telegraph:**

French farmers have begun arriving in tractors to Europe’s biggest market with police announcing 18 people have already been arrested.

The market is being guarded by armoured vehicles as farmers embark on their third day of protests against low pay and environmental regulations.

Police have taken a “defensive posture” to prevent a convoy of an estimated 250 tractors from reaching Rungis, which is known as “the belly of Paris.

Armoured vehicles have also been stationed in Loiret to block them from crossing the Loire river, as well as closer to the market itself.

An unspecified number of people were reportedly arrested in front of the market, while 18 others were detained close by for obstructing traffic.

  2. French farmers, good luck with the protests! No farmers no food

  3. I wouldn’t mind their protest, if they just “attacked” their own government and people. But these *farmers* target trucks registered to **other than french nations** and destroy product **heading to those nations** (for example: from what I’ve read, Czech truck was damaged and load was destroyed when the truck was transiting through France on their way from Spain to Czechia. And these *”farmers”* did that just because they could).

I understand their frustration with their own govt, but dragging other countries and innocent people into it? That just aint it…

I hope they can resolve their problems tho.

  4. >Farmers, ya no say daddy me Snow me I go blame I lick he boom-boom down

    The police probably

  5. I worry about the future of democracy when every other sectional interest adopts the politics of thuggery like the farmers across Europe are doing. If we all act like thugs we end up with chaos.

  6. Can someone explain to me why they’re protesting, also aren’t they harming their own self interest by being in Paris instead of their own fields?

  7. They should protest before the buildings of international food corporations that are trying to force governments to cut off subsidies so they can import cheap highly processed food from asia.

  8. I’m a farmers son from SA, my old man works every day. With all the time these guys have to protest the EU clearly needs to rethink all the subsidies they must be getting as here you would be out of business in days.

  9. No idea on the politics but that last pic goes hard af

  10. Even though it’s kind of a sign of europhobia from the farmers -some of their revendications are about raising the taxes on other European countries products- they’re supported by most of the french population and most of the political parties -going from far-right (RN and Reconquête) to left and far-left (LFI, PS, PC) excepted the current government. This movement here is just seen as the sign of rebellion of a sick industry which is underpaid and underfunded.

  11. Arrest the 60 or so people in this “convoy.”

Seize the machinery. Huge fine or auction off right as they’re needed again in the fields for the next season.

They’ll scatter back to the fields where they belong.

  12. respect to all the farmers from east to west you guys are the backbone of our countries and do more for the people than some of our governments <3

  13. I am so glad I don’t live there, but damn am I happy they exist, go French farmers, you are crazy motherfuckers
