Firstly I don’t condone abuse. Of anyone. And social media brings out the worst in people. But I find this headline a bit OTT because despite this ‘shocking’ abuse, 69% of politicians say they wouldn’t change jobs so they can’t be that traumatised by it. Also, Lee Waters blocks anyone on social media who opposes him even if they don’t abuse him. I’ve seen him block and be sarcastic to people who haven’t been rude in the slightest but have questioned him more deeply than he can cope with. Don’t like interacting with the public? Then perhaps don’t accept a job where you’re accountable to them and they pay your wages. Just a thought.
