6. If a non SNP party were able to form a majority at a future election, they would have to have a massive clear out of the Scottish Government (Civil Service). I understand that after 16 yrs lines can blur, but this is unacceptable from a Civil Servant, lives were a risk.

7. Seriously speaking, I was under impression that this was a commonly known fact.

   Spain has a history of a violent suppression of secessionist movements. It would be weird if they didn’t veto Scotland’s application to EU.

8. This sort of thing is probably part of why Boris Johnson regrets treating COVID as a healthcare matter (which meant devolution came into play) rather than a national emergency which would have meant total control from London.

   This nonsense of devolved nations effectively having their own border control in the face of the same bloody virus was as ridiculous then as it is now. Why is entry from Country X permitted in Scotland but not Wales? Are Scots immune to that variant or something?

   And as expected, the English approach was always the wrong one and to be swerved/ignored at every turn.

10. Any Scottish independence and subsequent application to join the EU would take at least 10 years did they really think Spain would hold this against them that long?

    Spain’s veto (if they used it) would be due to their fear of secessionist movements not some covid nonsense from years prior.
