  1. I hope now our Ukrainian friends in the sub understand what happened and why it happened.

  2. Ukraine needs state of the art weapons to face Russia and turn the tide in their favor, not obsolete junk not even the already obsolete greek army doesn’t use like the BMP1.

If it’s not good enough to stay in greek service, why on earth is it good enough against Russia? It’s like giving Ukranians equipment to die with just because it’s better than nothing.

Imagine Greece needing help and they’ll only help them if those countries gets the weapons Greece should be getting, and if they help they’re giving them soviet era junk.

  3. Sleepy Joe can’t form a proper sentence, let alone do anything else. What a muppet of the deep state.

  4. The wonderful world of vague global logistical constructions, to get around “regional” restrictions.

  5. Have you seen how the Russians blow up Leo 2s? What do you think will happen to Leo1s?

Anyway, if the Ukranians want that junk, they should have them.

But they should also get what the Americans are giving Greece.

  6. Greece has had a remarkable turn around as an EU member this past decade, if I didnt know it and you told me they were once the utter pariah of Europe for cooking the budget books I wouldnt believe you.

  7. As long as Greece doesn’t use these weapons to attack Turkiye and they get to Ukraine ASAP

  8. Puts some pressure on the republicans, if biden can get aid through without them they should probably take the deal while it’s there.

  9. I’m pretty sure he’s arming Greece because he just approved a huge sale to Turkey so that they would approve Sweden’s nato bid.

  10. God bless you Joe, I voted for you three times so far, and will do it again come November!

  11. Why not Romania then? Or Poland? Wouldn’t that be easier?

  12. I’ll never vote for a Republican that bows to Putin

  13. Give more modern equipment to Greece so they can sand theirs to Ukraine. Sounds like what Germany did with the Marder for BMP deal.

Interesting how the sentiment changed from “bad idea cowards” to “great idea, killing two birds with one stone”

  14. The geopolitical chess game’s heating up. Classic Biden move, sidestepping the MAGA brigade with a slick arms deal. Greece’s getting beefed up, Ukraine’s getting some love, and the Pro-Russia crowd’s just gotta sit there and take it. The irony? The same folks who scream “America First” are looking pretty cozy with Putin’s playbook. It’s about keeping the dominoes from falling our way. Ukraine’s the frontline of democracy versus autocracy, a concept lost on those who’d rather see a dictator-friendly world as long as it suits their agenda. And Greece, man, always in the thick of it, historically speaking. Now playing a pivotal role, not just because of its strategic location but as a statement to Turkey and others watching from the sidelines. Biden’s making moves, and it’s about time someone did. To those worried about where this is heading, remember, inaction’s a stance too, one that’s cost us plenty in the past. So, before you throw stones at the strategy, ask yourself, what’s your play? Sitting back and letting autocrats redraw the map ain’t it.

  15. ^(im from greece and i dont like our country being involved in war we should be neutral)

  16. That’s assuming the Greeks don’t sell the arms to someone else first.

  17. Greece will need its weapons to defend itself against Turkeys newly acquired weapons
