  1. > It’s an opportunity for you to retrain or get a different job

I hope she has the same opportunity at the next election.

  2. The tories need the biggest kicking in this countries history at the election maybe then they will begin to understand the damage they have caused.

  3. Before she was an MP she was Lloyds Banking Group Head of Strategy (Small & Medium Enterprise Banking Division) and before that she ran a small business restoring and selling vintage wands. That’s quite the career change.

  4. Ah yes, the Magic Job Tree that the Tories all seem to believe in.

  5. From 1980 to 1997, there were 4,491,000 arrivals and 4,183,000 exits. That’s net +316,000.

    From 1998 to 2023, there were 15,500,000 arrivals and 9,745,000 exits. That’s net +5,755,000. That’s a 1721.2% increase from 1980-1997 to 1998-2023.

EDIT: why am I being downvoted?

  6. This MP realises that the foreign partner is unable to claim any sort of benefits whatsoever from the tax payer on a spouse visa and I believe (I may be wrong on this part) when they have ILR. On top of the NHS fees and health surcharge?

I’m hardly seeing someone taking. The issue I have with all of this is … How can we say 39k approx for you to be here but we have British citizens suffering on much less in a cost of living crisis? Are they over charging so the foreginers don’t come to appease their core base or are they saying wages are so stagnant that you should really be at a minimum of 39k?

This policy is quite telling to be frank, I see a lot of the younger more educated generation leaving with their spouses because it will take them years as graduates to make 39k if their partner has had to go back to their own country. We are already going to be OAP heavy and the UK as a whole is doing everything to continue that trend.

We already have overseas students unable to secure employment in the UK after graduating because not many companies are will to fork out for a visa.

  7. I’m booking 3rd May off to hopefully start a 3 day celebration bender!

  8. What a fat parasite. She needs to be removed from office.

  9. She looks like Boris’s dribble hit seaside sewage and grew into a clone wrong
