More like some mole stuck on their arse they forgot about 40 years ago
You’d be surprised how little people are aware of any issue outside of England. I’ve spoken to several English people who didn’t know the Republic of Ireland wasn’t part of the UK. These were wealthy, supposedly well-educated folks. They didn’t think not knowing basic facts about their own country was any kind of problem, didn’t have any interest in learning anything about it.
I think this exchange works well in our circumstances (I don’t think of you at all)
they dont seem to reconise us at the best of times. especially when they tell you to go back to your own country, what am I to do just jump up and down?
Some brits think the republic is part of the uk. The others think Ireland is United- just goes to show
Jay Bothroyd on Sky Sports News certainly does.
🎶Caaaaaaaarry on! Fight for tomorrow! Northern Ireland or no, you never let gooooooo🎶
I think most English are completely unaware of Northern Ireland as part of the UK to be honest. I’m from Newcastle (NE England not Down) but my wife is northern Irish and I love the place, spent a lot of time here and learnt the history because I found it mental how ignorant I was and it’s my part of my families history now. Plus, I reckon Newcastle and Belfast share a lot of similarities.
Bold of you to assume they think of us at all
I think this is silly and that we are, most of us, well aware of Northern Ireland.
Not sure about England, but I’ve never had that feeling that we think like that in Scotland.
I would imagine it’s the same for Wales and Scotland. We just have the added sea between us.
Most people don’t care about something until it impacts them or bleeds into their everyday life.
