Long story short. A company owes me money that’s kinda overdue. It went already went “wrong” one time. Yesterday they made a second attempt and sent me this transfer statement.
It looks fishy because the dates are weird and being Dutch i know a bit of German and “umsatz” is a weird word to describe a bank transfer if im not mistaken.

I also haven’t received it yet which is weird(but not uncommon) because its a SEPA transfer from a German bank to a Dutch bank and it should arrive in 1 day. They transfered it yesterday around 18:00.

Can anyone with Sparkasse(Darmstadt) chime in?

  1. It looks normal enough, pretty much exactly the same as the online banking UI of my (different) Sparkasse. “Umsatz” is normal to use here.

  2. While it looks legit enough, it is nothing to base a business decision on. If a transaction blows for some reason (insufficient funds, account blocked,…) some banks still show it while it is not executed. So, wait for the money to arrive on your account.
