  1. >”All 27 leaders agreed on an additional €50 billion support package for Ukraine within the EU budget,” said Charles Michel, the president of the European Council.

Amazing that we’re finally here, it’s good to see the EU stepping up massively at such an important moment for Ukraine

  2. One has to wonder what kind of back deals were reached to get there… or was the threat of stripping EU funding enough?

  3. Well, look at that blackmail the fat slug that’s been blackmailing the EU for years, and he backs down. .

  4. >a voting rule that Orbán has masterfully exploited in the past

It would be great if the press could not compliment him for doing this type of thing

  5. No kicking out Hungary? That’s bad. For how long Orban prevented this thing, how many Ukrainians got killed because of the delay? Orban is sure to delay the next measure aiding Ukraine again.

  6. As European I have no issue paying for Ukraine, rather then for half of shit in the world we are paying and are expected to keep paying because reasons.

  7. Thanks, EU, you a the best

    шо з їбалом, Орбан?

  8. It wouldn’t be because Hungary was about to get it’s economy wack a moled… and Orban neutered.

  9. Putin needs to be stopped, he would start attacking every neighboring country (just textbook dictator things), all the money and aid sent to ukraine would greatly help the world.

Next we need to prepare for China invading taiwan

  10. So EU is not democratic at all.

That’s fine when it’s a cause you agree with. Wait till its something you don’t.

  11. Impressive. Very nice. Let’s see the United States aid package.

  12. I mean, he can bark as much and as loudly as he wants, but the grim reality is that Hungary is a small country, and thus it cannot be a nuisance for a long time. The risk of being pushed aside by the bigger players is real for Orban, or for any other countries without real leverage.

  13. hungarians clearly don‘t want to be part of european union, why not kick em out already

  14. Good! Now let us send some real weapons to Ukraine and let us kick Hungary out of the EU.

  15. Hmm, waiting for the Russian reaction. (edit: I want to hear them whine)

In the meantime, why do the designs for the new Russian black sea fleet have glass bottoms?

So they can see the old Russian fleet.

  16. That’s the good news I’ve been waiting for for so long 🙂

  17. The thing is it has now happened once, it’ll happen again and again until Orban decides to call the bluff.

    That’s when things get interesting

  18. Ruzzian puppet Orban might need to stay clear of windows and poloniumflavoured tea for a while

  19. This is great, but I really hope they change the whole process around vetos. We need a more robust system that do not give Russian moles such as Orban so much power to sabotage deals such as this.

  20. Ukraine still needs more. Overall, this isn’t enough. The US- no, sorry, the Republican Party- desperately needs to get its shit together and send more money

  21. A bit rich all the espresso sipping Europeans complaining about a lack of Americas aid package or whatever. Europeans living the good life the past several decades while Americans do the heavy lifting on defense against Russia. We now have the Middle East and China to deal with too, so can Europe defend itself for once and take care of Ukraine please? America is tired of war and we have our own issues at home too. Sorry!

  22. Thank you Poland! Na’zdrowie!

For some context; Article 7 sanctions in the European Council need unanimous support (excepting the sanctioned country). For years, Poland’s right-wing party PiS have played spoiler for Orban, with him doing the reverse when they did shit like subvert their judiciary. However, Poland recently elected Donald Tusk from a left leaning coalition; after attempts by PiS to delay the transfer, he took power in December, and with it a seat on the European Council.

It’s no coincidence that we now see Orban fold.

  23. Would be interesting to know how these funds will be administrated. EU is notorious for funding and those money not being used for their intended purposes.

  24. That was surprisingly fast. Orban better decide whose side he’s really on and pretty damn soon.

Russia is not going to prop up his shitty economy or leadership with any kind of consistency and the people who do are rightfully so becoming increasingly done with Orban’s shit.

  25. Really? Oh, then new unhuman, unconstitutional 10449 bill for more cynical and unhindered **use of male ukrainian meat** by that fascist scum, mimicking ukrainian government, will be passed successfully.
