What’s incredible is people in 2024 still saying cannabis is a gateway drug.
One messes up your motor control, thought process and generally takes away control of your body along with lucidity from you and can poison you. It is also a physically addictive thing when abused and has killed multiple people I knew well before their time.
The other is cannabis.

This cannabis situation in this country is a joke that just keeps getting funnier. Embarrassing on a European level too.
Tough to have much respect or time for what the Healy-Rae’s say. It’s not tough to look and find a clear conflict of interest with what they complain about the most. I remember when they were up in arms about the turf cutting ban, meanwhile they rent/operate machinery to cut turf.
If they had a cannabis farm ready for state production, they would probably be up there talking about it’s time to move with the times, and we need to start legalising cannabis.
I’ve never sat down for a smoke with people and had the thought “Ya I’d love a bit of coke now”, nor would you be offered anything harder while smoking up. Whoever is sorting you out isn’t like ” You like your green, have you ever considered getting into ket?”.
When I used to drink though, I’d go out with no intention of doing drugs, a few pints later and someone whips a bag out of some mystery drug and I was all for it. The next day I’d be horrified I’d ever take the risk. Alcohol is what inhibits your critical thinking, making it more likely you’d go try some other drugs.
Healy-rae looks like a fella that would be spear-heading the Reefer Madness campaign.

The ‘bauld’ Gino, trying so hard to be the trendy, edgy guy supporting anything that will harm Ireland, including ‘Hamashite’ and their lovely, decent, ordinary, salt of the earth, supporters.
The canabis Gino(offhishead) is pushing, is considered dangerously stronger than the image we usually have of the giggly pot smoker, and is already (according to Psychiatrists) causing a huge rise in Mental illness among users.
So keep it up Gino, you have a big platform and mouth to go with it, but for fuck sake, do something productive.
