Literally hot off the press too, if doors closing counts as pressing
Those doors look absolutely gobsmacked.
Just as an FYI this will also happen if you try and stop the doors closing with your penis.
Silly woman, you’re supposed to use your head to keep the doors open.
Now she’s stuck at the station with nothing to read, I bet she’s pissed hahah
I saw an old guy do that with his walking stick once, and the train set off with it sticking half in and half out. Luckily he was on the train, so hopefully could collect it when the doors opened again.
Depending on the rolling stock, the door membrane sensors aren’t that sensitive, and older stock only had half membrane sensors (from the bottom) as it was assumed it would mostly be feet and bags etc that would get stuck in them.
Anything smaller than a child’s wrist (and even then) will not stop interlock.
One of the London Underground training films I was shown years ago was an infamous incident of a child getting his scarf stuck in the door who was then dragged along the platform into the tunnel wall.
This is classed as a win, free paper and the gimp that tried to delay the train missed it 😂
Lmao
A sacrifice to public transport
I once saw a ladies large handbag caught, a man forced the doors open to free it while still at the station, no one thanked him, being new to London I didn’t understand why.
