Makes me sad that this post has 0 comments and nobody seems to care, this girl is a great example to other kids and deserves the credit for doing her part. Everyday heroes should get more attention.
Mmmmm… heroine.
> showed wisdom beyond her years by running around the block to the Rotunda to raise the alarm
That’s some serious presence of mind for an 11 year old. Especially given her Dad was fighting the assailant.
Both are hero’s.
Jesus, fair play to her. She handled it a hell of a lot better than I would have.
My only problem is its Wayne Donaghues daughter the lad who falsely claimed to have disarmed the attacker and whose wife was complaining about all the money ‘the foreign fella’ Caio got.
She ran to tell nurses. I think its great but I guarantee its an attempt by family to set up about gofundme after Wayne only got 15k
Amazing.. Well done to her, many adults wouldn’t know how to act or what to at a moments notice in a shocking situation like that. Quick thnking
If the mam hadnt untruthfully bigged up the dads participation in the attack I’d believe more.
Which is a shame if this girl actually did make a difference.

And did she balls set up the kiltegan womens shed. And I’ve never heard of the baltinglass sensory group, but given the fact that it neither meets nor has a place to meet I’d doubt if its as big a deal as this article makes it out to be.
Well done to her and all other heroes on the day, we need a day to celebrate these people and make a big deal of it on the TV maybe with some ceremony type event. I know some have been recognised and maybe given things individually, but a collective recognition of them all would be great.
I know this is usual r/Ireland craic but it is a great shame to see too many arguing on here now instead of focusing on celebrating the bravery of these people.
