It wasn’t a hotel, but a camping pod in the Lake District. I could see a snow-capped Lingmell from the doorway under a beautifully clear night’s sky
aestheic
The last hotel I stayed in had an office block next door. That view was ermmmm beautiful especially when I opened the curtains in the morning to see some angry guy in a suit kicking and punching a vending machine.
Happy Cake Day – I see from the picture that you are spoiling yourself in celebration!
It’s like a modern day “Nighthawks”.
I know this is weird but I find the glow of a petrol station at night quite comforting. I could get cozy enough with this view!
I stay in a Travelodge in central Birmingham when I’m there for uni (thankfully only one night per semester). It’s above a Tesco express and next to a 24 hour bus lane. Views are either – of the bus lane, of the building site next to it or of a goods delivery yard with added noise from air conditioning units!
At a Hotel in Jersey I had a view of the other rooms in a courtyard a seagull loved the flat roof outside my window and woke me up at 5am every day.
Had a wonderful view from a London hotel, of a blank wall 2 foot away from the window. The crisp packets, beer cans and fag butts in the space between added to the overall ambiance
I remember staying at a hotel once and the view was a wall or the windows of the room next door…..
Let’s just say she certainly enjoyed her stay and got lots of ‘exercise’
I can smell this picture.
Stayed at the hotel in Donington services once before an early morning flight. The view out of the bedroom window was into the interior of the service station.
There’s a great photo of me in the room at the St Pancras Renaissance, off my tits in my wedding room pointing out the window at the Eurostar platforms and going “TRAINS!!!”
Stayed in the Hilton in Teesside and my morning view whilst enjoying a socially distanced breakfast was a covid drive in test centre
Staying next to that the most welcome break would be my neck, so I can be taken away via ambulance.
To be fair, I would absolutely love to people watch with this view. Some people really cannot use petrol pumps!
Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically…
I stayed in a bed and breakfast in Oban that had a view out over the harbour and across to the islands. It was lovely.
Not to brag but I once stayed in a Premier Inn in Milton Keynes, Avebury boulevard to be specific..
A car park in Harrow or the back of some sort of chicken shop (I think) in central High Wycombe. Both equally stunning. Both Travelodge.
I got upgraded to a ‘river view’ room once at a Marriott hotel, it was just a longer walk from the bed to the shower and the ‘river view’ was more a scaffolding and safety nets kinda view

I’ll have 12 bottles of washer fluid
