Prosecutors have accepted the pleas of Calocane, who admitted manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility due to mental illness.

CCTV footage played in court showed the killer walking around the city in the hours before the attack. His first victims were Grace O’Malley-Kumar and Barnaby Webber, both 19-year-old Nottingham University students, who were walking home from a night out. Calocane then attacked school caretaker Ian Coates, who was driving past, stabbing him repeatedly.

  1. This is crazy how was this not seen how someone is going to have to answer his doctor or someone plz family’s of victims so sorry but plz don’t stop

  2. Even insanity should have consequences for heinous acts! If a person is dangerous they shouldn't be amongst the populace!! We have a major issue with that here in the US, too! My condolences to the families of those cheated of their loved ones!! 🙏🙏

  3. If you read how many times this murderer was in the hands of police and "professional" mental health services prior to this attack, it is beyond belief. He was diagnosed as a paranoid schizophrenic in May 2020 and released weeks later. That basically gave him a "Get Out Of Jail Free" card for whatever insane attacks he carried out from then on! How many other lunatics are walking our streets, safe in the knowledge that they can never be put in prison?

  4. A walking advertisement for the return of capital punishment. If Brits from the past could see the ruination of our country, I doubt they'd have believed it.

  5. Why was this man here at all and why was this man at liberty? The authorities have become so terrified of being labeled racist that they don't enforce the law evenly.

  6. If police caught this quicker and tracked it down quicker these 2 others wouldn’t have been killed they need more police. And everyone seems to be talking about the two younger ones not the janitor or anything

  7. Travelled from london… no explanation about motives, no records of his surfing habits, facebook intel social media connections, channels subbed.. not sure if there is "psychological" forensics? this is a weird one.. he just decided.. no build up? no plan?…. but came very well prepared..and was very determined…and cold…and calculated,… yerr

  8. As a woman I am usually vigilant when I'm out and about and this guy's walk would have put me on alert:
Usually people walk with purpose, meaning they have to go somewhere or have a destination. And this is visible in their manner of walk.

I have seen men prowl, looking for something to catch their attention. You don't want it to be you – so evading is mandatory.
