The actors who are protesting are are diverse in their opinions on the matter I think there are a few primary issues the economic ones I think the scope of some of the changes particularly um some proposed changes to the pension scheme um the degree to which certain subsidies

Were cut uh the extensive deregulation of the economy and the labor sectors those are huge concerns for a lot of the people demonstrating today many of those are rejected outright and then there are the more uh institutional concerns um one of M’s proposals is granting himself the president effectively the

Right to legislate uh for upwards of a year and to many that’s that’s very concerning from an Institutional perspective so it depends on who you ask um I think there’s a recognition for everyone that there’s a need to change with inflation above 210% now um but I

Think a lot of people are scared or worried concerned about the not only the scope but exactly as you said the speed at which these uh change are being implemented

Argentine President Javier Milei faces the first major challenge to his budget-slashing policies Wednesday as workers are expected to down tools in their thousands and take to the streets in protest. FRANCE 24’s correspondant Max Klaver tells us more from Buenos Aires.

  3. I wish Milei the best, the left have destroyed many countries with their careless actions so it’s good to see some semblance of accountability and shrinkage of government.
