In before “What figures are they using??” “There’s no way those figues are correct, they’re clearly using figures skewed by a corrupt FFG government” and of course “That’s not the proper metric, the quality of life index gives a much more accurate….”
Shouldn’t Costa Rica be placed after Hungary?
Just to be clear as well since the title doesn’t point it out, this is PPP adjusted, so makes an allowance for the cost of living here and in other countries.
I’m a bit surprised that Spain and Ireland are so close together at approx 25 – 30k. I have family in both countries, so I have a fairly decent grasp of the comparative conditions.
Most people I know in Spain don’t even earn €25k gross salary. Most entry level jobs will have a starting wage of about €1 – 1.3k per month. By brother in law is in digital media, and earns €1.1k. He moved to Ireland recently for a new job, and his salary increased to €30k – he felt like a millionaire. Several of my friends are teachers and earn €2k per month, which they consider a good salary.
Rent etc is lower over there but cosy of living is still at least €10k per year per person.
So I’m not sure how these numbers were calculated
OP the downvotes are showing that you just can’t go around showing off things like this that go against the narrative.
Now do a chart with the same countries that shows percentages of disposable income that is spent on rent/mortgage.
Didn’t think Japan would be that low
Now do under 30s and see how it looks – not so good I’d imagine.
Belgium is fucking us over . They are dining out & cheap and plentiful beer on top of their higher household income
