  2. It’s ironic because the tensions in the Middle East are caused by Iran-backed Houthi attacks on ships, and now Iran is conducting navy drills in response to these tensions. Iran should simply tell the Houthis to stop the attacks, and the tensions would be resolved

    Iranian and Russian media quoted Rear Admiral Shahram Irani, commander of Iran’s navy, stating the drills would be held before the end of March and were aimed at “regional security”.

    Add North Korea and you have the full Axis of Evil complete. Knowing the participants are quite the nasty ones (China and Russia flying jets near Japan’s airspace at the Quad Nations meeting in 2022 to intimidate them) best to keep both eyes open.

    Because while I’m all for freedom of navigation and military drills. At what point would we consider a drill crossing a line. Because Russia has lost all respect of trust in claiming they are conducting a drill.

  25. Great. Russia has a navy that getting fucked by a country without an actual navy (Ukraine), China’s navy looks impressive numerically, but they can’t get around the strait of Malacca without the US breathing on their neck or their ships running steam and Iran has like two ships.
