Italy reveals its new national airline: ITA Airways.

  1. Italy’s new national airline, ITA Airways, launched on Friday with a promise to bring pride back to its national flag carrier, after Alitalia, Italy’s legacy airline, went bankrupt and ceased operations a day earlier.

Executives unveiled plans for the new network, airplanes, staffing and livery at a press conference livestreamed from Rome.

The first thing to know: everything will be *centopercento italiano*.

  2. Pretty bold for a country to dive back into aeroplanes when it can’t stop busses exploding but who am I to object to these projects for *national pride*

Doesn’t feel like the shade of climate collapse is a good place from which to start expanding airlines

  3. Another bottomless sink for Italy to throw taxpayers‘ money in. There is a reason why all of Italy‘s previous national carriers went bankrupt. These reasons haven’t changed.

  4. I don’t know who said it, but I remember this:
How to become a millionaire? Start an airline as a billionaire.
