  1. sadistic psychopath working on precepts of og paranoid schizophrenic game theory models, standard for pestminster, resists deal to solve doctor strikes, just for power play.

  2. Was a Joe Politics thing or some other podcast (maybe Grauniad Politics Weekly) weeks ago when the nurses did a deal and an inference was made that a good deal of insiders (on both sides) think that this little cabal is taking the proverbial piss with it’s demands.

  3. Of course it is. He wants to make sure the torys can take as much can as humanly possible before actually granting it. Its no secret the NHS over a 13 year period has seen its funding cut dramatically. The data doesnt lie, the waiting lists have steadily increased over a 13 year period to disguise that austerity the NHS has seen…. But sunak can blame it instantly on industrial action when its just deflection from what really has caused this mess within the NHS…

    they want to privatise it.

  4. I think that the Tories want there to be some groups still taking industrial action by the time of the election, so they can portray Labour as on the side of strikers and militant unions.

The RMT has settled with the train companies, so they need someone other than Mick Lynch to be the bogeyman.

  5. It makes sense from his perspective, to reduce waiting times was one of his key five pledges, the more he can blame industrial action the more he can say it wasn’t his fault he didn’t achieve anything. The reality is he has failed on all of his pledges with the exception of the reduction in inflation which has absolutely nothing to do with him in the first place.

  6. “concerns about knock-on effect of more generous pay offer”

“the smelly plebs might be able to pay their bills, are you mad??”

  7. You can tell from his recent interview comments that his ‘strategy’ seems to be to blame the striking doctors for all the NHS’ problems.

    lol
