Manchester United to sack Erik ten Hag at the end of the season, with Dutchman in his ‘last months’ as boss, according to Dutch journalist

  1. Not really that suprising. If SJR and INEOS are taking over the sporting side of the club you’d imagine they’d want their own guy in the dugout. They’ve already started changing staff above ETH, so I wouldn’t be shocked if they let him go. Also a new DOF/SD would want their own guy too.

Also wouldn’t be surprised if this is reliant on how he finishes the season. Finish the season strong probably get a bit more “rope” before they consider letting him go. On the other hand if he has a average/bad end to the season then they’d probably be happy to let him go.

  2. This Dutch journalist in question notoriously has it out for ETH, or anything Ajax for that matter.. so I’m not quick to believe this

  3. Should’ve been done a lot earlier but better late than never.

Had very high hopes for him in his first season but the next one was…tragic. And we’re not even done

  4. 6th place isn’t actually that bad. Ange and Emery are just ahead of him and they’re considered great successes. And it’s still possible one of them could slip up before the end of the season (although equally possible Manchester United could slip as well).
