As someone who has been here for over four years and sides with the LGBT community (and pretty much anyone else that isn’t a friend of the government), I don’t see any worse treatment of LGBT people in daily life – if anything, it’s improving. Unfortunately, government rhetoric is increasingly hateful and is unlikely to change until their (hopefully soon) downfall.
