I hope he works things out, I like him and hope to see him in more stuff.
Lots of people from Hollywood goes to counseling because of negativity outside of their control. It sucks when one person from reddit/twitter called you an idiot because person hate your shirt.
I don’t blame him! He was easily the best part of the movie and one of the few people that seemed to have fun making it. Plus, he trained for an entire year to get buff for the movie. I would have trauma if I was in his shoes.
“Anything I don’t like is trauma.”
This is getting old.
Dude got ripped and didn’t even show up for the final boss fight
He was AMAZING in that movie. The movie sucked. He did not suck.
He was a dick in his episode of Murderville. He didn’t want to play along at all. It’s like ever since he got fit he’s full of himself.
However, his funny walk scene had me in absolute stitches.
Hopefully, the millions of dollars he got paid will bring some small comfort to his traumatized self.
Actors want to make good movies. studios usually get in the way of this.
Turned himself into a HGH riddled gremlin for a flop, checks out
Only movie I have ever fallen asleep in. True story.
This guy has been obnoxious for nearly a decade now
All due respect Kumail, but I think people have forgotten what “trauma” means.
Bad movie reviews are trauma now. What the fuck is going on?!?
PEDs and steroids can also have negative mental effects…gosh you bulked up for that movie fast!
Pakinstanai Denzel is always on point
Reading the article, it comes off more to me that he’s saying he needed to change his approach to his relationship with his job. Honestly, if everyone I knew was suddenly commenting on my body, was commenting on how bad my work performance/company was, I was every where on media, and during the height of the beginning of COVID, I’d be traumatized too.
And wash board abs now. I think that makes Eternals a win for Kumail
But he wasn’t the problem with the movie, he was fun to watch
Hopefully $3 million helps him sleep.
I’ll take trauma for a million dollars pay
He shouldn’t feel too bad! He was good!
Oh we’re gettin REAL loose with the trauma word now aren’t we?
I liked the eternals but was very disappointed at how under utilized Kumail was used especially seeing good incredible physique for the movie
I feel really bad for him because unlike all the other actors, this was like a fairy tale for him.
I used to listen his podcast called the indoor kids and this guy is a genuine nerd who absolutely loves this stuff. I couldn’t imagine telling him when he was doing his podcast that he’d one day be the ripped star of a super hero movie… and then it flopped.
It’s a great alt-history movie! I dont get the hate either, he was great in it, the movie was awesome and i rewatch it for the early history mindfuck.
Not his fault. It’s was just a bad movie.
I mean, it must have sucked but to describe it as trauma is a bit of a stretch…
If you haven’t watched Kumail in Welcome to Chippendales, you’re missing out. He’s so good, I hope we get to see him in more.
This is a genuine question. What is the difference between trauma and crushing disappointment?
There are good and bad things about the Eternals. He wasn’t one of the bad things.
I am REALLY sick of people using the term “trauma”, so damn freely.
There are people who struggle with PTSD and CPTSD everyday of their lives.
Living with trauma that leaves you with very deep scars and monsters to wrestle. It dims the whole world, isolates you and robs you of a part of yourself you might never get back, no matter how much times goes by or how much therapy you try.
You have chronic nightmares, can jump at the smallest of unexpected sounds and experience nearly intolerable levels of anxiety and depression.
For an era where everyone on the left and in hollywood is supposed to be so thoughtful and empathetic, I am getting really tired of anyone whose gone through a hard time and wants public comfort and validation, going on to carelessly using a real, serious medical diagnosis to poorly and inaccurately describe their own experiences of loss, depression and grief-which can still be seen as real and valid and awful.
But people need to stop diluting and commandeering a term they have no business using.
K stop it. You’re a rich and famous person. I have $5 in my account right now
I feel for him as he seems like a nice dude, but trauma is a strong word
Im js as someone who deals with a few disorders due to childhood trauma a few million would heal some of those wounds
I would happily be in the worst Marvel movie if I got payed millions. One film like that, and you can probably retire.
Would I be movie star rich?
No.
But id easily have enough to just chill.
The word trauma keeps getting diluted
He has such a punchable face
Funny, when I get bad reviews for my performances, I just blow them off, and I don’t have a 7-figure payday to comfort me.

People will make fun of this, but I believe him.
