Did we honestly expect the owners of these killing machines to comply with the law?

Put more punishment if unmuzzled banned dog attacks someone. Not sure which laws can be used for causing injury via negligence for owner ignoring dog ban laws.
Edit or just feed them to the dogs or pigs.
Genuine question at this stage – is it legal in the UK to carry a small pocket knife and/or pepper spray for self defence?

This is what terrifies me when taking my dog and 17 month old daughter out at the same time.
I honestly don’t think the owners care that they’re putting strangers through this much stress. I should be able to take my dog and daughter out for a nice chilled walk, and not have to worry that one of us will be attacked. And I shouldn’t have to plan what I’d do if we were.
‘Aw no my dear, my angel just wanted a taste of their favourite food, you can’t get mad at a puppy for liking human flesh!’
Unsurprisingly, the “ban” is completely toothless because there’s little punishment for owners and plenty of loopholes.
It should be a complete cull. Get rid of them. And MASSIVE fines for the riff-raff who still have them.
Those who choose to own these dogs are, inevitably, too stupid and anti-social to be capable of training them properly.
