As if Republicans give a crap. Their opposition to Ukraine funding is entirely in bad faith.
Their problem isn’t that they think we’re “giving money” to Ukraine. Their problem is that they don’t want to give Joe Biden a win and they don’t want to upset their benefactors in the Kremlin and they don’t want to upset big daddy Cheeto trump.
They don’t care that most of it would stay in the US, and create US jobs. Trying to explain it to them is pointless because, even if they understand it (that’s a dubious prospect on its own), they will not accept that it’s a good thing for our country because anything that Joe Biden does is bad.

The problem in America is that the Politicians create bills and attach multiple things to them that each party cannot agree to. This is not the fault of 1 party or the other alone. It’s both parties fault. The Ukraine funding bill should-be alone and not attached to Border Funding or anything else. Our Politics are so screwed up here because of this tactic. Everything is a Pain in the Ass to pass because of this. Very Frustrating. Important to remember, it’s not Republicans doing this. It’s both parties. Don’t be fooled by the media.

This is normal. When i first heard this a while ago, I had to stop and think about it. In order to meet demand for Ukraine, we are depleting our stockpiles to Ukraine and are basically running out. We need to produce replacements.
Example, if you send Ukraine 50,000 rounds of 155mm at (picking a wild probably wrong number) 25,000,000 US dollars, that is real cost. It will cost us the same to restock those 50,000 rounds.
Another example, if we send Ukraine 50 f-16’s at a cost of 70 million dollars per unit and we say we’re giving Ukraine 3.5 billion, that is covering the cost of the new fighters we are building to send to them.

If the US does not help Ukraine, then Australia needs another ally, because China will go for Taiwan and the US will let them. And that will screw Australia.

The Ukranian city of Avdiivka is under attack by the Russians at the moment.
They’re attacking on both flanks and those two pincers are approximately 4.2km from joining up and completely encircling the city!
The Ukrainian army just doesn’t have enough artillery shells to push the Russians back.
They badly need 155mm arty shells especially cluster ammo

Almost everything we sent to Ukraine was slated to be decommissioned anyway. The military actually made money off of having Ukraine use them since they wouldn’t have to scrap it.
