  4. He had it all. A good job. Great money. Impeccable hairline. And he threw it all away for a chance at having just a little more.

  5. He humiliated every black civil rights advocate in the country. When news came out that a black celebrity in Chicago was assaulted by white supremecists, there was an outcry of support for him. Only for it to be revealed that it was all an act for publicity and pity.

    Jussie Smollett was the racist American right’s biggest win in years. They’re still celebrating it. Him and Kyle Rittenhouse killing violent leftist protestors. They will get high off these stories for years.

  6. This is the type of plan that might have worked or at least left credible doubt if it had just been thought through.

    Like just get the two guys to beat you up at your own house, with no security cameras around and no possible witnesses. Planning the attack outside a Subway shop at 2am in subzero temperatures, with the attackers being random passersbys was such a poorly thought out idea.

  8. While I know he is guilty, I draw the line at allowing the police to bill citizens. Once they get addicted to the money, what’s to stop them? They already demand payment for jail time in some jurisdictions, the courts charge fees and arbitrary restitution on top of fines and don’t get me started on asset forfeiture! Suppose they start charging us for wasting their time if you call them and noone is convicted of a crime?

    This is a EXTREMELY dangerous precedent to set. Up until now, the shame of being found out and a simple fine for false reporting works sufficiently. The potential for abuse by the government is too great to ignore.
