  3. I wonder why they don’t mention that he’s from Fine Gael?

    We all know what would happen if he was a member of a party that was anywhere left of centre:

    ‘Former PEOPLE BEFORE PROFIT cathaoirleach of Cavan County Council charged with alleged theft of €172,000 from mental health charity’

    Or

    ‘Former SINN FÉIN/IRA cathaoirleach of Cavan County Council charged with alleged theft of €172,000 from mental health charity’

    It is the Irish Times though so that explains it.

  5. Crazy how the missed the fact he’s a member of Fine Gael, seems like they would have mentioned it if it was an opposition party.

  7. His defence will be that he has mental health issues which have not been addressed due to lack of services … due to lack of funding
