He could be fine. Didn’t like him with Germany but national team job is also different to club coaching. Should at least look like we have tactics with him. Defense could be a problem tho.
He’d be a solid signing, I think. Yes, most of us prefer Klopp, but if he’s really tired from the stress at Liverpool he wouldn’t survive the first week here. I’d rather get Flick than all the other options mentioned, like Motta, Márquez, Arteta… We need an experienced manager who’s used to dealing with top players, and stop the experiments with managers who’re at smaller clubs.
Genuine question; what’s in it for him? What is the appeal to top tier coaches to come here? Our media is vicious, fans are impatient, management is reactionary, we have no money, and the league wants us dead lol
Edit: this is a genuine question that seeks a sincere answer. Not trolling, I promise.
How about you link the actual tweet from Fabrizio, that is if it exists in the first place.
Any coach worth his mettle would love to coach Barcelona right now, unless they’re happy elsewhere, hate Barcelona, or intend to take a sabbatical. The prospect of bringing one of the biggest clubs in the history of the sport back to where it belongs, thereby etching your name in history books would be mouthwatering to the ambitious.
When a someone overqualified if willing to do something then he probably isn’t good (something i learnt in life)
Barca need Bayern’s organisation and book keeping before appointing Flick.
It will be Marquez or another Mendes client.
With all the coaches available he’s probably the most suitable candidate. I’m afraid the board will mess up and choose a Spanish coach at the end..
🤦🏻
I’m all for it honestly I think he could bring Barcelona a level or two higher however I am certainly starting to doubt our management in the form of Deco, Laporta and Mendes… last few weeks they’ve not shown their best colours.
Please don’t let it be Flick.
I dunno man
I don’t get everyone’s obsession with Nagelsmann. He came in riding the coat-tail of Flick’s work and got himself fired.
Nope. He’s not the guy that is needed to raise the youngsters.
I’ll take him as an assistant, in charge physical preparations.
He is a good coach but I don’t think that will work.
fans tried to gaslight me to believe that a dm would solve every problem we have, and that xavi is good if given enough funds (200 mil spent of bums apparently isn’t enough), but the truth is that the squad is already world class in most positions especially the midfield, we only lack the organisation which the likes of flick, naglesmann, pep… can bring
