14. I went to a wedding where the groom, an Oxford graduate, told a story about how, owing to rivalry between his and a neighbouring college there, pranks and other mischief was rife. He told how one misty night, he and his contemptible college chums carried buckets of water to throw onto the walls comprising said rivals' campus boundary; walls that will have withstood millions of gallons of rainfall over the last few hundred years, and remained unaffected.

    This wild and reckless act of hurling half a litre of cold tomato soup onto 8-inch thick bullet-proof protective glass somewhat reminded me of that.
