Moment protesters throw soup at Mona Lisa painting in Paris
Two environmental protesters hurled soup on to the Mona Lisa at the Louvre in Paris, calling for ‘healthy and sustainable food’. The painting, which was behind bulletproof glass, appeared to be undamaged. Gallery visitors looked on in shock as two women threw the yellow-coloured soup before climbing under the barrier in front of the work and flanking the splattered painting. One of the two activists removed her jacket to reveal a white T-shirt bearing the name of the activist group Riposte Alimentaire (Food Response)

Fooking security system to be honest.
The moment in 2023 will never be forgotten, I will always remember juststopoil as the most unreasonable activist that ever existed
Its makes me so mad. How does great art is at fault for unsustainable food?
If you ever feel useless just remember these people π
Tell me why ππππΏ

Dumb and Dumber strike again..
Mona lisa in the back : Ummm …HELLO??!!! ExCuSe Me!
After that no food or drink anymore in museum
If I done this in my country… I can't sit on the chair for several days π
The real mona is in Amsterdam π
I went to a wedding where the groom, an Oxford graduate, told a story about how, owing to rivalry between his and a neighbouring college there, pranks and other mischief was rife. He told how one misty night, he and his contemptible college chums carried buckets of water to throw onto the walls comprising said rivals' campus boundary; walls that will have withstood millions of gallons of rainfall over the last few hundred years, and remained unaffected.
This wild and reckless act of hurling half a litre of cold tomato soup onto 8-inch thick bullet-proof protective glass somewhat reminded me of that.
First thing is it's not the Mona lisa it's a copy.
These creatures also exist in Germany and they are called greens
I am done with society and humanity what did these protesters even hope to gain from this instead of going to a homeless shelter and give the soup to homeless families they decided to just waste all that food and throw it at the most world famous painting in the world every since Renaissance π€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈπ€¦ββοΈπ‘π‘π‘
Imagine if the protestors realise that the painting is protected by a glass π
Lol france's energy is already one of the greenest in the world, thanks to nuclear energy. They don't care about fact, they only want attention
glass: am i a joke to you?
women…..can't live with 'em, pass the soup
Canned soup isnβt healthy πππ
These two women will now become a laughing stock
Perhaps they'll enjoy the prison food more !!
By this point I strongly believe theyβre founded by and working for BP. This is a SPYOP.
If these protesters are trying to prove a point here, they are failing miserably.
this is used before, get something more orignal
If random citizen did this they would call it terorrism lol
What did the Mona Lisa do to you? ποΈπποΈ
this pumpkin soup give hungers beter than throw to monalisa.
Now that's art! Haha
Pathetic form of social action. Boomerang effect of negativity instead of rallying support. Well done! (sarcasm)
Oh well
At least theyβre not blocking the road like what we have in London π ππ π
Protesters are too strange ππ
Ineffective. Nobody and I repeat nobody as in not a single person in this comments section remembers any of the many recent protests in museums. Nobody cares anymore, nobody is outraged, this motivates nobody to take any action whatsoever.
fighting for healthy food while throwing one
