If nothing changes and things only continue getting worse, what will the temperature be in 20 years?
Not surprising. This is why they keep moving the goalposts. First it was 1750, similar to the sponge. Then 1850, justifiable as record keeping became more reliable. But then we see the start date creep into the 1900s. Then 1950. Latest joke I’ve seen regarding the ocean temps is a moving average 1990-2020, and that’s still 6 standard deviations above that average. We must be actively carbon negative globally right now, today, and that may not be enough
