Is there any news on what’s happening with Delta at the moment? Is it actively in decline or circulating alongside Omicron at similar levels to previously? (In fairness, I’d expect it to be on the downslope at the moment thanks to the boosters alone, regardless of the Omicron effect).

Question re: Boosters
I got mine a couple of weeks ago so I’m covered with it for a couple of months at least
But it’s my parents who were boosted a couple of months ago that I’m more worried about
When people refer to the “2 month” part, they mean about how effective it is about getting it and not about reducing symptoms – yeah?
What I’m asking is: people boosted 2-3 months ago will still (all things being equal) get lesser symptoms than the un-boosted
Right?
This might be a dumb question but with the new advice regarding PCR tests, how can the HSE track case numbers?
(I know case numbers aren’t the most important these days, but it’s still a useful data point)
