24. This is normal. We saw this many places we fought. The frontlines are very dynamic, so if we advanced and took russian held areas, the russians could not retrieve the fallen ones, as we now hold the area. We try and evacuate our fallen when we can, but all depends on the operational situation in the area. The sad truth is, that there will be bodies that are never going to be found at all on both sides. Local fauna also spread parts over a big area, I even had a stray dog running to us with a piece of an arm in his mouth, so happy! Also artillery, grenades and other explosives spreads body parts. I am ofc biased since I have fought on the Ukranian side, but to me it seems like the russians aren’t very eager to collect fallen personel. I have seen them dumped in pits, or just left where they fell.
    The only winner in war, is sadly death.
