A group fishing off the coast of Hervey Bay, Queensland, were in for quite the shock as a shark rose suddenly from the water and almost grabbed one man’s Spanish mackerel right off the line as he was reeling it in.

Luke Wightman told Storyful that he captured this footage of the “two-meter-plus bull shark” from his brother’s boat while on a fishing trip with his friends.

“Did you get that on camera?” one man asks, amid the shared disbelief of all aboard.
