Here’s the thing with maga people. They know that she is, actually, strongly anti-maga.
But they will, nevertheless, watch the deep fake and choose to believe the deepfake. Reinforcing their narrative in their head that supporting trump is a good thing to do.
Because they actively reject reality and choose to live in an alternate reality. Where up is down, evil is good, etc…
They’re like a severely depressed unemployed young person living in their parent’s basement with no future prospects of anything good… that cannot confront that reality so they begin to create and live in their own. Whether they do it with the assistance of drugs, or they get way too into a massive multiplayer role playing game, or way too into the marvel universe or whatever…
They have to pour themselves into an alternate reality because the actual reality (that they are in a really pathetic place and what society considers “losers”) is too hard to confront.
And even if they could confront it they are too depressed to do anything about it. Too depressed and lacking in self esteem to put the work in to change their reality.
Unable to change their reality… they slip into a fantasy world.
Mental health people feel free to chime in on what that phenomenon/malady I just described is called.
But whatever it is… it looks like a significant percentage of our society, around 15-20% or something in this ballpark… has banded together to create, and live in, the same fantasy-land.
The big problem being it’s not something innocuous like Middle Earth, or the Marvel Universe, or even Call of Duty land…
It’s this vile, nasty, evil fantasy land where they fantasize about oppressing their neighbors. Violence against their neighbors. Guns. Killing people. Overthrowing the government. Etc…
Even just one guy in your neighborhood slipping into this fantasy land can be a real problem. Suddenly your kids aren’t safe at school. You’re not safe going to the grocery store. Etc.
But having 15-20% of your population sharing this vile delusion is orders of magnitude worse… and enters pure nightmare territory.
I digress. But of course these deepfakes exist. Because of course the people who reject reality and choose to live in a fantasy need to create content and media to consume that allows them to share and live in their collective fantasy land in the first place.
And… consider me disturbed.
It was only a matter of time before they did something like this.
These deepfakes need to be treated like other violating crimes.

Taylor swift should encourage voter registration and participation. Not much else. Imo .
