# The Magic of Shining Light Award

**Kilderov. This week in my studio**, created and submitted by (duh) u/Kilderov.

The award is named for the blingy, bedazzled piece in the last picture. I saw that piece and was instantly six years old, playing with my [Lite-Brite](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qM9VrVjadxY&pp=ygUZbGl0ZSBicml0ZSBjb21tZXJjaWFsIDgwcw%3D%3D) in the small bedroom in my grandmother’s apartment while the adults were being boring around the dining room table. I always enjoy Kilderov’s work, but this nostalgia bomb took it to a whole ‘nuther level. Maybe you’ll feel the Lite-Briteness, too. Or some other wholesome, pleasant thing.

A few weeks ago, r/Ukraine happily welcomed a new addition to our roster of talented Ukrainian artists who work to support the war effort: u/Bohemialife1, who [weaves camo nets for the soldiers by day](https://www.reddit.com/r/ukraine/comments/17xkkhm/we_weave_camouflage_nets_for_our_soldiers_and/) and makes surpassingly beautiful pressed flower frames by night. She sells the frames in [her Etsy shop](https://bohemiahome.etsy.com/), and uses the proceeds to support volunteers and soldiers.
