Hi all,
We recently connected our washing machine after moving into our new home. When the washing machine reaches the draining stage, though, an error message appears. After looking through all of the most typical solutions for the machine, we unplugged it from the drain pipe and let it empty into the shower, and everything functioned as it should. This leads us to believe that this drain outlet is somehow connected to the issue (or the connection in general)
As advised in a previous post, we also attempted to loose the tiny hex hole that is on top of this drain pipe fixture but the machine still doesn’t drain. We think that it can be a connection problem (even thought we connected the machine ourselves in the previous apartment and it worked fine) because the previous owners mentioned that they didn’t have any similar issue.
Any advice anyone?
Thanks!

That doesn’t look like the drain pipe. It seems to have a tap on the top. It looks more like the water inlet tap instead. I also haven’t seen a drainpipe with a threaded adapter on – though I could easily be wrong.
Most drain pipes for washing machines are open at the top and you just feed the flexible drain hose from the washing machine into it.
Have you cleaned the pump bay or whatever it is?
In front of the machine, close the floor, kittle round opening.
Sounds like you have an blocking there.
Look deep in it. If you see lint, you have to clean it.
The drain line In our appartment was clogged when we moved in. Some previous owner had installed a small wire filter into the line and it had collected muck from the machine.
They had also installed a host of adapteri to get from 3/4″ to 1/2″. I had removed them and bougth the correct adapter.
Just call the service company, “huoltoyhtiö”, they’ll send a plumber to check it, it’s probably glocked. That is called “norsun kärsä”, elefants trunk.
Maybe someone forgot to make hole in lattiakaivo where that washing machine drain goes, or its just glocked.
Put some water with a hose trough the floor drain where the waste water ends up.

Our service company man took off the pipe adapter at the end of that drain and connected the fresh water intake pipe directly to that instead of the washing machine. Then he blasted water at full pressure for a while and the drain got unclogged.
