6. I guess the Schwiizerdütsch cantons would actually agree to it if the confederacy introduces the notion of pseudo cantons.

   Pseudo cantons don’t have 1 dedicated representative in the state council but either share one among multiple pseudo cantons or take turns. :’D

7. Some of those regions once did belong to Switzerland or its predecessor. And others wanted to join or were even discussed to be annexed by Switzerland in the past 150 years or so.
