Except this is a long-standing problem going on since before his party oversaw a huge spike in the net immigration rate. NHS dental work barely breaks even for most dentists, its really not hard to see why most do the bare minimum. Government doesn’t want to touch this, refuses to renegotiate or build a new agreement, and as usual rather than taking any responsibility at all, it chooses to blame vulnerable people and kick up another big culture war fuss. And we wonder why this country is going to shit.

Every single dentist i have managed to see in the last 20 years has been from Poland, Spain or Romainia. I have some big work i need next year. My dentist is helping me plan a trip to Poland to get it done.

2. Use the media to stoke the flames of social divide.
3. Tell the people you’ll fix it while the other guy won’t.
4. Get voted in again.
5. Repeat cycle.
New one opening in town in March, already has 7000 applications for NHS patients.

I don’t see how this has shit to do with immigration… it’s been impossible to get NHS dental coverage for many many years. It’s just not worth it to the dentists.

Adding 5% of the country (3m people) in what, 4-5 years, when there is **already** a shortage in a service, just leads to even more shortages.
Exacerbated by the fact that *most* immigrants settle in cities.
If they’re paying taxes then it’s up to the government to distribute that tax money appropriately. There is no difference functionally on where someone was born or population growth, tax is a scaling resource.
My old dentist went private so since I cant afford it I had to search for a new one and I’ve been on a wait list for over a year now, My teeth hurt and the left side of my face has been swollen for 6 months.

I would have thought that it was because the government are pathologically incapable of delivering infrastructure projects. Even when they lie about the number of “New” hospitals they will be building they fail to hit their woefully low targets.
HS2 is another infrastructure project, utterly ruined by greed and NIMBYism.
If we are to have more people in the country, by birth or migration, we need the infrastructure to support a growing population.
Today I am gonna do something that makes a service worse (and my friend rich) but tomorrow I promise I am gonna get started on immigration. People could be forgiven for falling for this lie for a year or two but after thirteen years? Most people figure out the “free beer tomorrow” sign in a pub after a few minutes.
I didn’t check anyone’s ID or immigration status, but I heard a lot more foreign accents from the staff and my dentist than I did from anyone who walked in asking for a booking.
If you removed every immigrant who is seeking treatment from the queue and you *also* removed every immigrant who’s working in dentistry, the NHS, the care sector, etc. then you’d be facing a **much** bigger crisis than we’re seeing at the moment.
The far right press are really pulling out all the stops on blaming migrants.

Refused planning permission for conservatory? Migrants
