Zelensky: Today I met with General Valery Zaluzhny. He thanked for two years of protection of Ukraine. We discussed what kind of renewal the Armed Forces of Ukraine need. We also discussed who could be in the updated leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

So Zaluzhny remains? Despite all of the mumbles and rumbles these past few weeks?
This is great, we could be seeing a shimmering down of internal tensions then, and the country’s attention can return 100% to the war effort.
Edit: Syrskyi has been appointed to the position of CiC. Fuck me in the ass.
I’m pretty sure “Updated leadership” means that he was demoted
So, he’s going?
>who could be in the updated leadership
How to interpret this?
I really don’t think Ukraine has a military leadership issue. I hope this works out for the best.
I read the General’s statement and the change is amicable which is important. It looks like the General will continue in the military in another capacity.
F for those guys, who said it’s ruzzian propaganda. You will learn a lot in future from Ukrainian “politicians”.
Two Valiant heroes!!
i really wanna know the ins and its if this. ut dont think we will ever learn. Maybe after the war
after 2 years of conducting a war… i am not surprised.
Even upper echelon need rotation, and changing command officer can change tactics and ways to approach problem the enemy has learned to estimate.
The best move ever… for Putin.
Its not lile he was fired, is he in charge of the new UAV department?
I don’t think it’s game over for General Valery Zaluzhny. There is a chance he will work in the back-ground and establisch the Unmanned Military Force and conduct a new warfare we haven’t seen yet.
Though its not uncommon to move out military leadership during conflict, this may be a bad idea. AFAIK Zaluzhny is well liked by the soldiers and well liked by the population and seemingly has shown competence in repulsing an invasion of his country, removing him sounds way too risky. Though, there may be a need for a new perspective on the conflict. I think everyone needs to trust in the leadership and hope for the best. We aren’t privy to any conversations or any of the information that matters, it just feels like this whole thing was handled quite poorly.
scissors cut paper, mfs, but not this time T_T
