  1. >Regarding the price tag, Esralian said “a Hollywood friend” criticized the cost by saying, “that’s a lot of money for only 70 kids.” His response: “But it’s 70 kids or 80 kids forever, and if even one of those children ends up having an amazing life and potentially contributes to society and this village made it possible for them, I think it’s a bargain. The more I’ve learned about the plight of some of these families, especially as the children are basically ripped from one another, it makes it even more worth it.”

I hate this, “That money can be used better elsewhere,” attitude that some people have when it comes to other people opening their wallets. Because most times that money never appears in the first place. This project is actually being done. Ground has been broken. This place will be built.

And, God, the siblings who will benefit from this will be eternally grateful. I can imagine the horror of losing your parents to some tragedy then having to then be separated for your siblings. Or in other cases, being taken from your abusive parents and then being separated from your siblings who were trying their best to look out for you before the system took over. In both cases, there is trauma. By keeping the siblings together, at least they will be around people they trust and from there on out they can build upward to trust other people.
