  1. Ha, you pathetic little worm.

It’s comical just how bad he is at politics, how did he manage to slither his way to the top (well, 2nd place before being beaten by blundertruss)?

  2. “I can’t believe you’d try to hold me accountable for a trans taunt in front of a mother whose trans daughter was murdered. This truly demonstrates the worst of politics.”

  3. Rishi Sunak has accused Sir Keir Starmer of demonstrating “the worst of politics” for “using the tragedy” of Brianna Ghey in a House of Commons row.

Sir Keir criticised the PM on Wednesday for making a joke about his “definition of a woman” on the day Brianna’s mother was visiting Parliament.

*The father of the murdered transgender teen called on Mr Sunak to apologise.*

***But the PM has declined to do so*** – *and instead accused the Labour leader of being “sad and wrong”.*

God honestly this whole episode is like the problem with current UK politics in a nutshell.

Tories do something horrific without even thinking about it because they’re too sociopathic to even understand why what they’re doing/saying is horrific. Get called out. Rather than accept any responsibility or clarify, just double down and project their own failings onto their political opponents.

And to think it actually worked for a decade because their client media facilitated that projection to the point it just became accepted fact.

  4. Someone should ask the jumped up school prefect if Brianna’s father was also “sad and wrong”? He also linked Sunaks’ comments and demanded an apology that Sunak refused despite ‘respecting the family’.

The election really can’t come quick enough.

  5. People are just sick of the kind of politics that the tories have been pushing out the last god knows how long.

It’s not me, it’s you, I’m the victim, culture wars crap. Everyone is bored and just wants a boring politician to fix things.

  6. Tories really just lie and lie because it’s impossible for them to even live in the real world for a second. The Tories are all a bunch of evil twats with how much they hate everyone.

Sunak and the the rest of his cronies need to all be voted out of power, permanently.

  7. Absolutely disgusting from Sunak here, unfortunately Reform voters will lap this up.

  8. [He was told she was there barely a minute before he made that “joke” (2:00, joke is at 3:30ish)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5t3aJJAHzUk), imagine how this is going to look in 30 years when students are reading about politics during this decade, that the prime minister could make a demeaning joke about the privates of a murdered girl in front of her grieving mother in parliament!

And be rewarded with little more than mild finger-wagging from half the press that actually bothered to react.

  9. They are really pushing back on this. He made a catastrophic political mistake, which is a bad move for a politician.

Instead of apologising, they are going with the *It wasn’t really that bad* defence.

They are way more out of touch than we realised.

  10. I’d say keep digging that hole, Rishi, but Tories for the most part don’t see a problem with what he did and still blame Starmer.

We live in a country full of spiteful, callous people.

  11. He’s literally doubling down, you can’t make this crap up.

  12. Wonder if he’d call Brianna’s father ‘sad and wrong’ for wanting an apology

  13. For people confused about what he did wrong, he made a joke that involved a sensitive issue of if a trans woman is a woman or not while the mother of a trans girl who got murdered and the judge found that trans hate was a part of it was there in the building with them.

Sure he wasn’t targeting, but thats like saying a person who drops a hand grenade isn’t targeting people, he should have shown some sensitivity instead of going to his go to attack line that hes used many many times

  14. Is there anything more typically Conservative than refusing to see the link between your own ideology and the actual individual people it affects?

It’s like a required cognitive dissonance to prevent realising or admitting that your dogma has a real world impact.

  15. What really pisses me off about this whole thing is that even if this leads to his downfall (and it won’t) he just gets to live the rest of his life in complete luxury.

There’s no consequences to anything he says or does, and there never will be. I mean, like he gives a fuck that any of us think he’s a transphobe.

One day he won’t be PM, but until then he’s happy to poison the discourse about people that just want to be left alone.

  16. Even the most “gender critical”-adjacent individuals I know in real life found this utterly repulsive, let alone all the trans people & their friends and loved ones.

I legitimately don’t think the Tories quite understand what they’ve done here or just how badly this will go down with anyone outside of the Prosecco Stormfront set & the pub bore brigade.

  17. Fishy sunrack is such a fucking disgusting, slimy, pathetic, monitor lizard looking cretin.

  18. In other news, Rishi Sunaks approval rating is halfway to China.

  19. I’m sorry, did the Prime Minister of the country really just call the leader of the opposition “sad”?! That’s some 90s schoolboy insult right there. He may as well have added “and he’s also a massive gaybo”

  20. Literally on top of the fucking tory party… YOU are the worst of politics

  21. So he’s doubling down. How did we get here with this man? Utterly shameful again.

  22. He really is a despicable cunt ain’t he?

This almost makes Johnson likeable by comparison.

  23. Sunak seems determined to make himself look as awful as possible here. He just hasn’t got it in him to ever admit a mistake and quite frankly, doesn’t care about the impact on others. He is vulgar, crass and deeply unpleasant.

He is wholly unfit to hold the office of PM.

  24. “How dare you Kier, my trans hate is big enough to stand on its own!”

  25. Sunak should be made to reign as this is so against British values and what the U.K. standup for, parents who have lost a child to murder, not a snivelling man with no moral compass!

Taking a bet on people’s lives the day before was bad enough but this is just…..hateful to the parents!

  26. If he’s got a problem with Starmer backtracking, say that, it’s not an unfair point. To throw in the trans jibe was just sad playground bollocks from a spineless twat of a man who heads a party that can’t fuck off soon enough and far enough out of government so the grown ups can have a go.

  27. Now this is a u turn….at the minute we are at the tail bit…he’s claiming the person who called him out is the offender. Next he will say he’s very sorry others were offended, but it’s nothing to do with him. Then he will finally apologise meekly….but still claim he was right to say what he did.

  28. The think Sunak will be most upset about is no longer being able to use the ‘define a woman’ angle, at least for the next few weeks. Trans hate was one of their core election pillars.

  29. Coward

Is this really a publicity stunt that will help conservatives retain “red wall voters” or is Rishi just a cunt.?

  30. Lol course he’s gonna double down

Why show any respect for the minorities

  31. Has Rishi Sunak referred to Brianna as ‘her’ at any point yet? Both times I’ve read his statements he’s only referred to her by name, but readily used pronouns for her mother.

  32. This has to have become an intentional strategy, even if it didn’t begin that way.

The Tories are losing to Labour on every question the electorate cares about.

Their only hope is to create a wedge issue and try to crowbar some votes back.

By refusing to apologise, he’s going to be able to present himself as a martyr, speaking truth “in spite of the woke/liberal/lefty/twitterati outrage.”

  33. Is it that hard to treat trans people with a little respect rather than a political gotcha? It should be a non-partisan issue of human decency.

  34. That video almost beggars belief. He’s got this self satisfied smirk, as if everyone else is in the wrong here, and he’s in the right. This whole thing was completely avoidable but he can’t help himself.

He said an awful thing, at the wrong time, in front of the wrong people. He made a mistake but one that should’ve been dealt with.

The fact he has this condescending tone towards Mr Spooner, and Miss Ghey, as if they should be asking Starmer for an apology for what he, himself said, Sunak really is a vile man, who really isn’t fit to lead the country.

  35. Then why do so many people think the same thing Rishi? Are we all wrong?

  36. Sunak flashes his arse to the entire nation again proving,  yet again, what a horrible person he is.

Why is anyone surprised at this point? We all already knew he’s a bigot.

Of course he’s not going to apologise to the Ghey family. He thinks he’s done nothing wrong.

    Disgusting little man.

  37. “Are you going to apologise for the hurt you caused?”

“Have you seen that Labour did a U-turn?”

  38. Interviewer: “The father has demanded an apology from you, so will you honour that?”
Sunak: “Eh- Ah… so if you look at what I said, I was very clear, talking about Kier Starmer’s proven track record of u-turns”

So… no? That’s a lot of words for “no”

How hard is it to even just go “I apologise if the example I chose was inappropriate / caused hurt”.

The last 3 Tory leaders are all incapable of taking accountability for anything they do. And all of them get to live a life of luxury even after they leave office, while the rest of struggle to get by because they fuck about with their farce of a government instead of doing anything about the cost of living crisis

  39. The sooner this reptile fucks off back to the private sector the better.

  40. Seriously, this petulant man-child Rishi £700M Sunak can fucking do one.

How fucking dare he point the finger at anyone else and claim that they are using this case to score political points, when him and his entire side of the political aisle have made it their mission to demonise and dehumanise Trans people for their political gain.

    Fuck the Tories.

  41. The recreational outrage over this is pathetic.

There was no transphobia in his comment. Sunak was criticising Starmer for using the 99% phrase.
