  1. I genuinely believe the special counsel is just waiting for her to keep pulling shit like this so she can be removed without question. How many of her decisions have been overturned by the 11th Circuit with damaging opinions?

  2. There’s absolutely no way this judge isn’t taking all of Trump’s calls.

Someday this news will come out, to the surprise of no one.

  3. She knows that as soon as she makes one decision Trump does not like, all her ass kissing goes to waste, Trump will cast her out and she will be hated by both sides.

  4. Anyone who gets to appoint judges that work their trials and a society that isn’t up in arms over it is just making a farce of the judicial system. We all knew judicial bias exists but this is just a mockery at this point. Three SCOTUS judges and Cannon get to judge the guy that got them their job and we are just pretending they will be neutral or not bias.

  5. I mean does she have a brain? Or is she this much on trumps side? This seems to be a very straight forward argument.

  6. Ngl I read that too fast and thought “what the fuck is a face removal!?”

  7. “disturbing order” LOL she’s a bought/paid for corrupt af tool specifically appointed to do the far-right’s bidding

but if “disturbing order” is what gets her the fuck out, then whatever

  8. Seems like the order doesn’t follow any common sense what so ever. Shouldnt even be a question to keep this information redacted and kept classified

  9. She acts like a judge for the mob and is probably on Trump’s payroll and paid for by donor money. Hope she’s been investigated.

  10. I wonder at what point they can charge her with being co-conspirator in disclosing national security information.

  11. >“It is impossible to overstate how awful and unethical is Aileen Cannon,” added Norman Ornstein, emeritus scholar at the American Enterprise Institute. “Clearly has no business being a judge at any level.”

  12. >Longtime Harvard Law Prof. Laurence Tribe said he hopes Tuesday’s order “will trigger a motion to remove her.”
“The 11th Circuit might well agree this was the last straw. Compromising national security is a bridge too far,” he tweeted.
“**It is impossible to overstate how awful and unethical is Aileen Cannon,**” added Norman Ornstein, emeritus scholar at the American Enterprise Institute. “**Clearly has no business being a judge at any level.”**

Appointed by Trump, what a surprise that she is unqualified and only there as a Trump puppet who has no relationship with any law as far as he is concerned.

  13. Could.

I’ll wait to see what happens, because if there’s anything we’ve learned since Trump came down the escalator it’s that we can’t rely on hopeium.

  14. I could win the lottery. I won’t but I could. Difference is there’s more chance of me winning than a trump appointed judge getting removed. And I say that as someone without a lottery ticket.

  15. Remember the picture of her at a trump rally in a red, white and blue cowboy hat with her face painted for trump. Disgusting stupid person. How she can still be on this case is not justice in any manner.

  16. For christ sakes! Do it already!

Plus she should be removed from any BAR she belongs.

  17. What other reason does Trump have to know the identity of the witnesses but to intimidate them or have them fall out of a window?

  18. I think Jack Smith has been letting this all play out until there can be no argument against her removal and then make his move to appeal

  19. I’m shocked the prosecution hasn’t asked for her removal…

  20. >“The 11th Circuit might well agree this was the last straw. Compromising national security is a bridge too far,” he tweeted.

You’d think the last straw would be hoarding highly classified documents in your unsecured bathroom but what do I know? 🤷

  21. Any country that lets a judge preside over the criminal prosecution of the president that appointed that judge is broken.

  22. She should never have gotten the judgeship in the first place… wasn’t qualified (rushed through!)

  23. She should have recused herself in the first place, shouldn’t she? She’s taking her orders directly from Trump.

  24. When you’ve got the conservative AEI saying she’s established a pattern of bias so bad the she needs to be removed from the case, describes her as “awful and unethical” and “clearly has no business being a judge at any level”, then she’s gone too far.

Law professionals are all really, really furious with her for ordering the release of sensitive information about national security and being pissy about it at the same time.

  25. Besides the fact that she’s quite obviously deferential to Trump, it’s obvious that her total inexperience with national security cases means she should have never been tasked with a case of such national (and maybe international) importance.

It’s embarrassing that she’s been lost at nearly every turn.

  26. If Salon says “X thing COULD happen”, you can pretty much take it to Vegas that X thing will absolutely not happen. Lucky for Salon, their average reader hasn’t figured this out yet and will still click on those headlines.

  27. “Could”, “could”, “could”, it’s always suppositions and nothing ever happens. Then they wonder why people get cynical and don’t believe in politics or justice anymore.

JUST DO IT!!!! Ffs, it’s obvious she is doing Trump’s bidding, remove her!! DEW IT!!!!

Tired of this shit. lol Guiltiest man of the History of the World, is still not in prison and more and more, it looks like he could not only avoid it all, he could be president again.

    Embarassing.

  28. She should be removed, period. She’s tilting the playing field and it’s unethical in the extreme. I’d love to see a senior jurist issue a letter of complaint against her; she’d probably have to step down and would be disbarred.

  29. *Could* face removal…

Let’s dispense with all the “coulds” and “mights” and remove this corrupt embarrassment.

  30. She won. There is no way that this trial makes it before the election, to the detriment of democracy. So Smith should by all means petition for the 11th Circuit, with the idea of getting this corrupt judge removed. Let her go back to Walmart where she belongs.

  31. Removal should be the top of the iceberg- she should be imprisoned for giving aid and support to an anti-American terrorist organization.

  32. The endless stream of “could” stories passing off as news.

  33. For anyone (like me) who came to the comments looking for details on what she ordered:

The prosecution must release some classified information to Trump’s team during discovery, including names of certain potential witnesses, the conduct of some individuals (which they haven’t been charged for), and the FBI code name for a separate investigation.

I’m not a lawyer, but it sure sounds like information designed to allow Trump to threaten people who might have evidence against him.

  34. “Legal experts say”

    “Says Attorney”

    “Former prosecutor said”

These headlines and articles are always such a joke. They just rehash someone’s opinion that has no actual bearing on the case. But they sure want to make it sound like it really matters.
