These attempted abduction stories come up from time to time, normally from a mum of some sort. I always wonder if they are true. Is there gangs of men trying to grab kids in shopping centres here. Maybe there is?
But I always wonder if thru are true or someone’s posted it after hearing it from.a friend who heard it from somewhere else?

If I’m not mistaken a few years ago, maybe more ? (Fucking COVID lockdown as messed with my sense of time) some lads tried to snatch a kid and were almost successful until some members of the public gave them an absolute hammering.
I would assume something like that is bullshit and dismiss it out of hand.
Would need more info regarding the source and context, have they ever posted about dogs being stolen or ppl having their houses marked with chalk, is it facebook, does it have subtle racist undertones….that’s just a checklist of the top of my head.
Normally “No”
The same people that post ‘i was spiked’
I would tend to assume they’re untrue
It seems a risky strategy to snatch a strangers child in broad daylight & a busy public place while they’re with their parent.
There certainly are dangerous scummy people out there, but I’m guessing a shopping centre packed with cameras & witnesses isn’t where they’re likely to operate.
I would say with almost 100% confidence NO.
If this type of thing was happening more than Once the normally alow news cycle in NI would be all over it.
Efits of the suspects
Interview nutters
Blaming forrins etc…
Here’s a question for anyone reading this: did you subconsciously think, whether you believed it or not, that these men were eastern European or Middle Eastern? Or did you think it was 4 big strapping Irish fellas?
Social media is full of this kind of shite, usually with racial undertones although not in this case. There is a small group of people funded by very shady sources usually from the American far-right who litter the toxic landscape of Facebook with this garbage.
Realistically, if you spotted a paedophile gang hanging around your local shopping centre trying to grab kids, would you go up to the nearest security guard and get them to contact the police?
Or would you say nothing, go home and post about it on social media hoping they didn’t abduct some other kid between the time you packed your groceries and got home to log on and post about it?
I only ever hear about them in relation to Rushmere
4 men trying to grab a 2 year old.
Safety in numbers lol
Typically sex offenders are solitary predators (barring other factors), a gang of 4 roaming a shopping centre is ridiculous.
Pure bullshit from the usual sources.
Did they speak in foreign accents? I bet they spoke in foreign accents.
Idk if an old man was having a senior moment but outside of a tesco had an old fella come up to my drivers side door and start trying to open it. I’m not a kid so I was getting ready to throw hands but figured driving off was easier.
All roads these days lead seem to lead from attention seeking narcissists.
Wife used to have a friend who regurgitated this shit, got that bad I would have snopes open on the laptop as soon as she walked in. Clowns under the bed, immigrants stealing kids then taking them to changing rooms and cutting their hair, always happened to a friends aunts cousin.
It’s true. I saw it today.
One of the men was dressed as a school.
Seen this last night and wondered the same.
In this day and age I can’t really imagine that not a single video/ photo was taken of at least 1 of the 4 men on one of their ‘multiple’ attempts to get close. Also, can go with the argument she was too terrified to get her phone out, even though she was able to continue dandering about the shops, but I can’t imagine a mother who wouldn’t be screaming in terror at this happening.
As of last night it had 500 odd shares, so regardless of the shares I’m sure she got the validation she was looking for.
Had a similar situation in a town near me a few years ago, Syrian refugees were moved into the town (personal views aside), and sure enough within 2 days a photo of one of these men sitting on a bench was plastered over Facebook alleging him as a peado with witch-hunts being organised. Turned out the fella was sitting in the park with his grandkids.
I take some seriously but in this case, even if you’re a fairly fit and capable man and you’re faced with 4 fellas, chances are they’re going to get what they want if they want it bad enough.
Facebook wine Mums shite
The wet bandits, but more so? Complete nonsense, you hear stories like this or similar from time to time. I’m just surprised there wasn’t any mention of accents or some other allusion to travellers, Eastern Europeans etc. Some people just love to stir shit and breed mistrust, cunts have nothing better to be at.
I wuz wlkin bhind sum forner der dis murnin nd she dropd a 20 pund nte. So I sez, “here luv, ur after dropin ur brew” nd she sez “fuk me, nt all u ppl r infedelz. stay awy frm preemrk diz satirday cuz where fir blwin it up”. Tru stry, plz leik Nd shure 🙏🙏🙏😡😬😬💣💣
Bullshit story. She doesnt mention once the kid was wearing an armagh gaa kit or the colour of the kidnappers skin
In the middle of a shopping centre with cctv all over the place? Sounds like the best place to kidnap a toddler
I can just imagine the comments under that.
Like hunters
Our local news stations would be all over this if it was true…. CCTV from Supermarkets being posted etc
Likely the standard racist shit against Eastern Europeans, Romanians, Africans and Arabs bottled up in the PrOtEct OuR KidS post
The people who post these often claim everything is to “pRoTeCt tHe ChIlDrEN” whist supporting policies against Children
Yes, 4 men tried to abduct her child in a shopping centre with security cameras everywhere. I am sure she got right onto the Police to report it too…
It did happen to a child at my daughters primary school, they are in the same class and i know the family well, so it definitely happened. the boy was in p7 walking his little sister, p5 home which was just round the corner. Approached by two men in a white van, they knew to run thank goodness.
Facebook and all other social media has brought an audience online who never would have been online before, outside of sending emails, shopping and booking flights. They exercise no critical thinking and in all seriousness shouldn’t even be let near a computer or a smartphone.
We have serious work to do in educating people. They need to be taught critical thinking, avoiding scams, propaganda, online safety in schools as an essential part of life. Don’t even get me started on AI because things are getting a whole lot stranger.
