  2. If you had to fight/face the Maori with contemporary weapons of the time, the Haka dance would have scart the living shit out of you. Those guys are big and make very scary faces.

    In fact the New Zealander’s do it in rugby too before the games. Pretty sure is scares the shit out of the English and S. Africans teams because they seem to fall apart when playing New Zealand. Probably doesn’t scare the Aussies as much because they have ugly faces already and are impervious to that.

  6. I don’t know why, but this Haka dance is very fascinating. I always enjoy seeing it at sporting events when New Zealand teams take part.

  10. I did my time with the ANZAC when I was with the MEU. These dude’s rock and the training there is first rate in my opinion/experience.

  12. Saw my first haka in that Matt Damon movie Invictus and I nearly shit my pants for the opposing team.
    My BFF is a kiwi, told me it’s almost the national anthem. He’s coming for a visit this summer, I should ask him to teach it to me. It’ll freak the neighbors, I’m sure.
