5. Tech shedding over hiring after covid is not the economy. It’s predictable

6. Layoffs can happen any time. Some industries more often than others (see tech for example). It’s an unfortunate part of a market driven economy, but it doesn’t mean the economy as a whole isn’t healthy.

7. Powell doesn’t sound like he looks

8. It isn’t just layoffs that make the economy seem bad. Just in the city I live in the homeless population just keeps increasing and people are really struggling to keep up with basic living expenses. The number of people I see living out of their car in my neighborhood is shocking, but then not shocking since I know how unaffordable it is to live here.
