Why does the press use the term “protestors” instead of rampaging thugs or insurrectionists?
Well that was quick! Here we are 3 years later in the US and wayyyyy to large of the population won’t agree one was attempted here.
It is absolutely certain that if Trump was still in power in the US at the time, the US would have supported Bolsonaro and his coup. Bannon was involved. The implications of Trump in office would have been horrific in Brazil. Now we have even more proof that Brazil narrowly avoided a manufactured coup and the Declaration of Martial Law was ready for signature. Bolsonaro fled to the US and Biden had none of it.
Well, yeah…?
Yes he took a page out of trump’s book but thankfully both failed. Expect to see a lot of similar attempts by far right perpetrators throughout the world. I wouldn’t be shocked if the Argentina president tries something similar.
