  1. I’m looking for genuine answers here – is there anything the police are actually succeeding in?

  2. Probably sweeping a lot of them under the carpet to avoid accusations of racism.

  3. Wasn’t there huge news about a Pakistani child sex ring operation that lasted years that the police had multiple leads too but didn’t do anything for fear of being called racist? This was what like 10 years ago.

  4. Why is everybody acting surprised? 14 years of budget cuts, falling numbers and experienced officers leaving due to systemic low morale who are then replaced with literal children, (if they were replaced at all)

The CPS won’t charge even if there’s overwhelming evidence because they too have got no money anymore, so even if you do catch a criminal, they’ll likely walk free on the first day.

Even if the CPS do manage to charge, it takes years to get a criminal into the dock because (quell surprise) the courts have had all their funding cut, so now you have rape victims waiting 3 or 4 YEARS for their offender to be convicted.

If they are, (because aging police infrastructure and technology means that evidence is often lost or damaged over the course of that time)

Finally, even if a criminal is found guilty more often than not they’re given a shockingly low, suspended sentence, which is essentially meaningless as there’s no capacity in prisons and no support or social care helping those people integrate into society and avoid committing future crime.

The whole system is fucked. And it’s purely down to Tory greed. The fuckers have stolen all of the public’s money, set the nation on a path to self destruction, and used our money to sort their mates out.

  5. It’s definitely a non English problem on these shores. Racially and religiously motivated in most cases. Police good at keeping the public ignorant to the true face of multiculturalism. Peace.

  6. Fund them properly them ffs.

Get more officers, retain the ones you’re got by actually providing a decent work environment where people aren’t afraid they’ll be chucked under the buss by SLT at the first opportunity.

The same problems exist in both the police force and the NHS and people don’t even realise it! They’ll just whinge when a new private entity is spun up to deal with the failings
