Having trouble with dates isn’t necessarily indicative of a problem, particularly when we aren’t being given the context around the conversation (i.e. was this a momentary flub in a conversation, or was it him struggling to identify a date and just being unable to)
The presidency isn’t a game of split-second decisions, it’s not Jeopardy. I want someone who will appoint the right people, fight for what i think are the right causes, and with due deliberation make the right choices more often than not. Sure, in a perfect world I wish there were a younger president, but everything is a trade off. Biden helped get an insane amount done before we lost the House – more than anyone thought he could do. In a 5 hour interview, Robert Hur provided 3 examples of Biden maybe not remembering an exact timeframe. I’m a neuropsychologist and a democrat. I think Biden probably has some cognitive decline like most 81 year olds. He is certainly better off than some of my patients, but I have noticed a relative frailty in him. Nonetheless, Trump is no better. His “acing” of the MoCA is absurdly stupid. No one knows what his score was but getting a normal score on a cognitive screening tool doesn’t rule out a neurocognitive disorder.
