[ITK Tolmie on X]: “Close aides of Pep had insisted he would leave at the end of his current contract. However, they now believe he will commit to another 12 month extension and complete a decade at the Etihad. Said to be open to an annual rolling review which both sides would be comfortable with.”

  1. Just tie him down to a lifetime contract already

  2. I’m grateful to witness more than 7 years Pep legacy with this team. Build him golden statue already Sheikh.

  3. Realistically “both sides are comfortable” means that Pep knows it’s been a long time and his mind frame could change quickly, whilst we’ll take him for as long as we can get

Nice to have him but I do hope the club are planning for post Pep in a tangible way

  4. Honestly if he wanted a lifetime contract but could take a sabbatical every three years I’d fly and drive the contract to him myself.

  5. Don’t see Pep leaving until he’s ready to retire. No way he coaches any other team in PL, he’s already conquered Spain & Germany and he won’t downgrade to Serie A or Ligue 1.

Unless he wants to be around the game in a less rigorous capacity and coach a national team, surely he stays.

  6. He either continues or doesn’t coach for a while. Where else is good enough? He keeps going on here until he’s tired
